My name's Dick. I write for a poetry magazine called "Songs from the lobster pot" and am the senior editor of my school newspaper as well as the school's only underground newspaper. Life is good, but you don't need to know much about me- this is, after all, a poetry site, not myspace
. I prefer to write funny poems, and almost exclusively write rhyming poems. My greatest poetic influence as a child was the late Shel Silverstein. I read all his poems a hundred times before I was even 9 and I still love them. An incredibly close second is Dr.Seuss, the greatest children's book writer of all time. I wish I could write like they did. Now stop wasting your time here and read some poems. Have a nice day! Peace out!
Some of them are funny, others not so much. Life is good, so don't think the less happy ones reflect my outlook on it too much.

Lousy as far as poems go, but it was a chant I made up for shits and giggles. Happy Black Friday, you consumer whores.

For the contest where I got beautiful, shiny words to describe a not so shiny Pat.
