I know each day, we each in our own way, perform magic, light up a life, make someone smile or laugh, make the day better for someone, or just the opposite cause havoc and hell, if your not careful. It's really up to you to decide which. Which ever is also what you bring back to yourself.
Someone once accused me of having no compassion - I have lost my love & life partner of 26 years, a son and more, but never my faith. Compassion, to me, is when you can reach out through your pain and help others, laugh at yourself and still say life is good.
I am a 3 times crowned King - in real life- 1 major kingdom and 2 minors. It is not the fun you think it is. It requires long days and lots of hard work and then receive no gratitude. It's easy to point a finger and blame but try the job and you'll have a different opinion. Each time I was ask to do this, and I accepted the fate, almost worse then death, and said yes. I served in one of the minor kingdoms as they need me the most, but have stepped down again. Lord, let someone younger do it. To live and serve, that is a royal job, to know when to step aside is a royal self-command. Always to remember " Noblese Oblege" (the noble obligation - do for those who can not do for themselves- be the saint they want). Oh well, it is a difficult job but...... someone has to.
I never blame others for my mistakes. My jest of being perfect - is a reminder of how God made me and bit of self ridicule to remind me to be humble.
My faith- is mine and mine alone. It allows me to laugh at me and not take myself serious as others might.
Each day is made good and perfect, it is up to us to add our magic to it, to sprinkle fairie dust for happiness, click our magic heels to send someone a blessing and just maybe we'll get a little for ourselves.
My obligations, I do take serious, each day to make it better for someone, in so doing, I make it better for me.
I will now concentrate on taking care of me - a couple of surgeres and some recovery and I'll be better then new or dead. Such is life in the fast lane.
The lesson in life I learned so easy,
what you wish for others,
is what you also get for yourself.
I wish you happiness and joy.
