Whyagain

Just, as a note to you of whom I might have insulted in some way:  I say what I think. I do not like to apologize for speaking my mind. I like to nag and I am a fierce nitpick. Please try not to be terribly offended. Try not to be put off, for, if this sharpened tongue of mine has wounded your pride, you must find better armor.

    Three very classy poems you have here.

    What makes me wonder, though: why do you hate the second-person pronoun? Presumably you mean 'you'. I tell my students not to use it in academic essays, but in poetry??

    After all, you use it in two of your postings, and I'm not sure what the problem is. 'If one can keep one's head when all about one are losing theirs and blaming it on one' doesn't have the same ring.....
