White RavenShow poetry

You may assume that because I do not speak, that I do not think.
But I do,
And I may or, may not let you know just what I think of you.
When you hear that I am deeply spiritual,
You may assume I’m religious,
Or that I am Christian,
But when you find that I am not Christian,
You’ll assume I’m Wiccan,
But when you find that I am neither,
You will assume that I am confused.

When I say I’m a belly dancer,
You bring to mind a thinly dressed harlot.
‘Tis not what I am,
Though possibly thinly dressed.
Dance is inspiring,
And I am inspired.
You can assume I’m boring,
Because you don’t take the time to know me.
Or that I am naive because I am polite.
If you are truly interested in building a friendship,
I assume you’ll make a spectacular pal.

I'm a young married woman with an angelic daughter. I'm happy with what I've got, and things are only getting better.

  • In the center of a clearing I lay.  To no soul am I visible, to no human soul that is. The gray clouds drift slowly above me.  I watch as I patiently await the rain.
