Enter all into the world of the cat, the Snow Leopard being the most Supreme of the Felines. Her Highness, the Snow Leopard, pays homage to her Egyptian Sisters:

The Egyptian goddess Bast reminds us of all that is feline and feminine. Her gifts, very cat-like in nature, include the refusal to be at everyone's beck and call and an insistence on the freedom of expression.

She teaches us to relax and never waste energy, reminding us to luxuriate in beauty, perfume, and to sway in graceful movement. Bast refuses to take anything too seriously.

But most importantly, Bast leads us to accept the true nature of things (ourselves included) and helps us remain unswayed by the opinion of others.
Curled up like a cat lying in the sun, the goddess Bast foms a complete circle . . . a symbol of the eternal.

Bast is also considered the Goddess of Pleasure. So known for bringing Pleasure (and Pain) to those who choose to know her. So frolic and play all who visit this site, as I build it one poem at a time.

I've always enjoyed quotes from movies that ring true to me or I call them "truisms" that speak to me about life or the current situation at hand. Kind of an uh-huh moment or "I so agree" moment. So I'll start with the first ones that came to me today as I add this list to my page:
