In the year of 1996,
at the age of eight,
I was on my way home from school,
and it was about the time of early/mid Autumn.
I looked outside the window,
and admired all of the beautiful creations of the earth.
I watched the creek, and the ripples as they formed into waves,
the trees as they would sway back and forth in the mighty winds grip,
and the forest as I admired its beauty.
All of these things I saw sparked my imagination.
And so I took out a wrinkled piece of paper and a purple crayon,
and I wrote.
I formed these beautiful words into a rymthic pattern,
and at that very moment I had found my love and passion,
...Poetry.
I've been writing for 13 years now,
and I am a very free-spirited and minded person.
I believe that true beauty is expressed in words.
As a poet and writer,
I must say that it really relaxes me as well as taking away stress.
I love to write poetry because it expresses the way that I feel.
Poetry will always be a part of my life,
and I will continue to write for as long as I possibly can.

my life is very unique.
i am unlike anyone that i know,
my entire life has always been complex.
ever since i was a little girl,
i believed that the world was all mine for the keeping.
i admired everything because everything to me was beautiful.
the creations, wonders, feelings, and words.
i am truly a deep down poet.
it is what i am known for,
and i will never stop writing.
writing to me is like the air that i breathe.
i just don't know how i would live without it.
whatever mood or emotion i am feeling,
i write about it, and it makes me feel weightless.
a lot of people do not understand how i feel,
they just pretend and hope to eventually.
some people think im an outcast, others admire me.
but i love who i am, and i wouldn't change it for anything.
i know that im different, its what i am.
i've been writing for 13 years now.
im currently in the process of writing a book.
it will be titled, "and she wrote, the poetry of amanda whitacre".
another thing that i am known for is that,
im brutally honest, don't let it get to you.
its not being rude or disrespectful.
its simply getting the truthful answer across,
as straight-forward as possible.
many people take it personally,
but others learn that its just how i am.
and it won't change so don't try me.
im very creative.
i like to make abstract things.
my photography shows it,
which is another hobby of mine.
photoshop is my life!
im on it practically everyday.
always downloading the newest version.
the career goal that im trying to accomplish,
is obviously graphic design.
perhaps some writing/poetry on the side.
but who knows what i'll get myself caught up in.
for now, im just going to work.
i like work, its very fun for me.
its enjoyable because before i just stayed at home and did nothing,
but now at least it gives me a chance to get out.
im never home anymore.
if i am, its only for a few hours, or maybe a day.
i pretty much live an on-the-road life.
its kinda hard to juggle school, work, friends, and my boyfriend all at the same time.
but i somehow still manage to do it.
my daddy is my hero.
he is the most important person in my life.
he has always been there for me, and will always love me unconditionally.
my sister is my best friend,
we used to never get along when we were young,
but now we are closer than ever.
especially since she has just moved in recently! (:
and my love and soul mate is my wonderful boyfriend brandon.
we have been together for 3 years and we are so happy to have each other.
he's been in my life since i was 15, and there are a lot of memories with him.
we are very dumb when we are together,
which many people say is why we are made for each other. lol
but i really do think its true.
he treats me like a princess and we love each other more than anything.
i do not participate in any sports anymore.
i was in track & field for about 3 years.
i used to be in really good shape a while ago.
i was toned, strong, as well as beasty!
and damn do i miss that 6 pack,
but now i all i have is a pudge,
and big ass to pay for the slacking.
although, i am not really that self-concious.
don't get me wrong, i do have style.
i love my sense of style.
a lot of people label it,
but i don't believe in labels.
labels should only be used on canned goods,
not on people.
i shop at route 21, hot topic, gabes (yes i love a bargain), and a lil pac sun.
school is fun, i love learning new things.
i feel smart when i do,
i have a ton of friends.
my 2 best friends are Randa and Kayla.
although Kayla doesn't go to my school,
i met her through work.
i've had some really crazy times,
with them two, and i love them to death!
work is probably the funnest thing ever.
i've met so many people through work.
and people that don't even know me know where i work.
i technically have 2 jobs, though its owned by the same company,
bavarian and sidelines.
when im extremely bored (which is practically never),
i like to build card castles.
i've been doing it since i was probably 10.
and the biggest one i've ever made consisted of 6 decks, 336 cards.
i've also built many replicas of various buildings and statues.
i like to eat.
im not one of those prissy-type girls that you take out,
and they only eat like 2 or 3 bites of food.
when i eat, i eat! lol
sometimes i think i even eat more than my boyfriend does.
and he can eat a lot.
i can be a bit of a "partyier".
i drink occasionally, and yes i smoke,
marlboro lights 100's not kings.
i hate short cigarettes,
just gives me a reason to smoke more of the pack up.
i watch very little television.
just because i don't have time to.
but occasionally when i do,
i enjoy watching soap operas.
im also addicted to aqua teen hunger force.
its probably the best show ever created.
movies are cool,
i watch them a lot more than shows.
some favs are the beach,
the nightmare before christmas,
and the phantom of the opera.
i do not get embarrassed at all.
its just something that i've never really taken seriously.
life isn't fun when you take it seriously.
im free-spirited, i live life as it comes to me.
just throw it to me, and i'll catch it.
im confident in myself and in others,
im very helpful, i like to give guidance and advice to those who need it.
although, sometimes when i have to deal with my own problems,
i tend to be very down on myself, but thats what my poetry is there for.
there is not much more that you must know,
but what i own is a beautiful life.
and i wouldn't have it any other way.
i live to love,
i speak to tell,
