And delicate features falling together
Are brought to the silence between a pair of sparrows -
Glancing, instead, choosing to shield his face
A delicate hand to be scarred as proof of their bitter enemy -
The dark hue, relevant to the times of an earlier dust
Plays a soft showing; for the child must learn to stand
