My name is Debbera, I have been writing poetry since I was 12 yrs old. I usually write lyrical rhyme poetry but I have been experimenting with different forms. I had quite a collection of poems, from 1966-1989, but they were unfortunately lost during a move in 1989. I have recently started a new collection, that I have posted here. I am a hairstylist. I am a singer and have written a few songs. I am Spiritual and I believe in all religions as long as they help one strive to become a better person, I am a long time student of Astrology. I have 3 grown children, Renee, Rob & Ryan and  My first Grandchild was born on August 2cd 2007 her name is Lola and she is beautiful. My second Grandchild was born November 21st 2007, a boy, his name is Trent and he is beautiful. My third Grandchild was born on June, 18th 2009, a boy, his name is Holden, and he is beautiful...

Beneath a colored sky

I wade in pools of silver

with Sacred thoughts

of you.

 

Our journey together

is a long one

lingering, soothing, cleansing

ours souls in a sacred bond.

 

It is glided out

to the deep blue sea

by glistening frothy oceans

and

Down far into

the desert sands in the heat

of an indian summer

and

Up high unto the mountain tops

to shiney snowflakes in winter

like the beauty of icicles

frozen in time.

 

In unison we surrender and begin

to make ourselves worthy

The transformation begins

a metamorphosis emerges.

 

 Like wings of a butterfly

we join forces

with our spirits

in this sacred bond of love.

 

yesterday, today and tomorrow.

We are,

eternal partners

Forever~
