I love the Twilight series...possibly a little too much. I sometimes wish my boyfriend would sparkle...lol.

Some of my poems are about skin color. These are not about me, but are about my experience. I am white (not like it matters) but, my nephews and nieces are mixed black and white. They are the most beautiful children I have ever seen and some of the things other children say to them are cruel and if I could shield them from the world I would. Most of the skin color poems I have written are out of anger or frustration due to the experiences my nephews and nieces have already had. It just angers me to the point of no return when people are close-minded about such things.

I love to read poetry and I may not be the best at it, but I love to write it. Writing helps me organize my thoughts, or simply put them on paper so they are not haunting my brain anymore.

My favorite poet is Robert Frost. If you haven't read his work you should because he is absolutely amazing.

I graduated college with a degree in Elementary Education. While I am teaching, I would love to write children's books.
