My poetry style is...lets just say it's not bright and bubbly and cheerful. I'm completely and totally NOT capable of writing happy words. I tried once, and sounded like Dr.Seuss. A very BAD Dr. Seuss. I mostly like to write about stuff I know from personal experience but words come very easily to me so if I'm given a topic, I can usually pull something together. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't but I like doing it. Keeps me on my toes. The poem "Red Water" was written this way. My friend Tiffany told me to write a poem for her called Red Water so I did. I'm not sure sure she had blood in mind when she gave me the topic but oh well.
A description of myself eh? Hmm. I'm a student, in Office Education. In reference to my writing style, I am bipolar so I go through extreme highs and lows. When I'm on my manic streaks I don't have the time or patience to sit down and write so all of my reflecting is done when I'm in a depressive phase. Hmmmm, what else. I'm 21. I lived for the first 12 years of my life in Big River, Saskatchewan and from there I moved to Lloydminster, Lone Rock, Lashburn, Saskatoon, Black Lake, Stony Rapids, Regina, and finally Moose Jaw.
I think that's really about all I can say at this moment in time. I'm not very good at describing myself in complete sentences. I'm more of a fragments and one word type of gal. So yes. That's me in a nutshell.
I'm adding this quote because it's become my new personal philosophy...ladies I'm sure you can relate!
"Here's to the men we love, here's to the men that love us...Since the men that we love, aren't the men that love us...Screw the men, here's to us!"
