There was a message...
There was a song to be sung...
There was a story to be told...
There was a need for Art in all forms.
I am striving to develop myself as a poet. I started off writing lyrics, or melodic poems. This moved into a very observational poetry, where I would comment on things I saw. During my Depression it developed once more and became about expression. A self orientated series of works where I questioned my exsistence, my life... my feelings. After recovering, I began to write humour poetry and children's poetry, trying to move away from angst and dark, trying to broaden my horizons.
To progess even further I began listening to Podcasts online... not only being inspired to start my own, I also began to see the next step for myself as a poet. 'I' is the most overused form of poetry. Poets obssesing about what they experience, they see they feel they think, so I have begun to move away from this and focus on questioning.

Using my Media company, Final Draft Media, the poet Peter Winkley and I have setup a poetry podcast. There will be lectures, and readings of classic poetry. We would be very interested in having poets from AP to be showcased on the podcast. What this would entail is us talking a bit about you, the poet and reading a few of your works.
