Thankful• Show poetry

HI MY NAME IS SHARON. I AM 39 YEARS OLD AND I AM A RECOVERING ADDICT. I LOST MY BROTHER AND BEST FRIEND TWO YEARS AGO TO AN OVER DOSE. I NEVER WROTE ANYTHING BEFORE THAT, BUT AFTER HE DIED I WOULD JUST SET AND WRITE WORDS THAT JUST CAME TO ME. I HAVE READ A LOT OF REALLY GOOD POEMS ON THIS SITE, THERE ARE A LOT OF TALENTED PEOPLE HERE. I COULD USE SOME TIPS TO HELP ME WRITE. MY GOAL AT SOME POINT IS TO PUT MY POEMS INTO BOOK FORM AND HAND THEM OUT AT DRUG AND ALCOHOL RECOVERY PLACES BECAUSE THE THINGS I WRITE ABOUT ARE MY LIFE AND MAYBE  I CAN HELP SOMEONE SOMEDAY. HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON.



I want to say i have heard from alot of nice people here.
But I wanted to take this time to tell everyone about my new friend Reubenhaynes, he is one of the most generous and caring people I have ever had the pleasure to talk with.

    Im sure you well know that the best thing that you can do is write from you heart....write what you know. There are quite a few people here who want to tell others how to write, give negative comments, but I tell you that you need to be honest with your writes like I believe that you will be.
