hello everyone!
my name is Jessica, but please call me Jess or any of the other nick names my friends have given me. I have been writing since i was 11. My first poem was about my grandpa because just a short while before i began to write he passed away. I write from my heart and i always have. I was tought to only be myself and never try to be some one i'm not. more than likely you can guess who tought me to be that way. My grandpa. RIP. I love him and i miss him so much. He has tought me pretty much everthing I know to this day. I only live to prove to my mother and and to everyone else in my family that I am NOT going to be like them. To prove that I will only be me and never change into my mother. Yes I may be my mothers child, but I do not have to live in her shadow or fear her any longer.
i am proud to say that I am more my grandpa's child than my mother's child. I live my life the way he lived his. To be him one day, but in the same be myself. He tought me to love myself when my mother wouldn't say it back.He tought me to always be true to myself and to others, sure some times I slip, but hey who doesn't. I always do my best with what is thrown my way. I have always loved to write, but now my friend got me into trying to my work out there so she put me on this site.
