I write poetry for myself to help me get through situations and emotional pangs in life. I follow the emotion within when I write versus any type of structure. I think to each his own and if you find something beautiful by someone's elses work no matter what platform it's on then hopefully we'll better appreciate the nuances life offers up. My motto in life is leap before you look. I've been blessed at times when inspiration hits and the words just flow through my pen. I love it when that happens but it doesn't always and you can't really force it IMO.
