Message from author:

Hello, I haven't been around here in a while. A new creative outlet has had me completely consumed over the last year and unfortunately that means less time to write. My poetry muse has been on hiatus and I hope she returns someday. Meantime if you're interested in seeing the results of my new creative endeavours:

Thanks and have a nice day

Hello, and welcome to my little corner of the internet world

I kinda sorta accidentally deleted everything I had on my homepage, so ummm, guess it's time for a change, eh?

Well, I haven't been writing so much the last year or so. After spending 8 or 9 hours in front of a computer at work every day, sitting down to a computer at home is pretty much the last thing I want to do. However, every so often, a little idea will pop into my head and I will torture my eyes (floaters!) and arms (carpal tunnel!) for a few hours or a few nights while I try and hash it out.

Sadly, it seems that lately much of my inspiration results from the death of a loved-one. So if I'm not writing so much, maybe it's a good thing...Anyway, I was never a writer or a poet in the first place (and still am not). I discovered this website about 5 years ago thanks to my (now) husband - "Aaxmym" http://allpoetry.com/Aaxmym - who has posted a few pieces here himself (some are about me ).

So I started posting a couple of silly things just for the helluvit. Then I discovered some people actually read my silliness (and heck I found a few poets that I enjoy reading too!) Well, a few silly poems turned into over 250 pieces - I still can't believe that! I will admit that another big factor which kept me here was to read my then "casual friend"'s work and keep in touch with him because I'm not too proud to admit I had a huge crush on him . Hey it paid off, we just got hitched on 04/20/08

Oh! Before I forget, a good friend of mine, who happens to be quite a talented poetess and writer , posts her works here too - you all know her as Barbara http://allpoetry.com/Barbara

Anyway, I digress...As I'm sure most of you who have spent more than a few minutes on here know, this place can become quite addicting. Some of you may enjoy the chatterbox (I don't think I've ever used it?), most of you probably enjoy the high you get when you see someone has read your latest poem and left you a comment. Admit it, you all get that little rush too, whether you're here as a serious poet looking for an enriching exchange of constructive criticism and converse about all the great poets of the world and maybe you're even narcissistic enough to "make up" a form of poetry and name it after yourself , or whether you're here to maybe try your hand at something different and see if you can't string together a few lines that happen to hit a chord in someone who reads them (most likely starting with yourself). I think I fall into the latter category...

So, I've rambled on enough. If you like what you read, feel free to say so. If you don't like what you read, feel free to say so. You may suggest I change something in one of my poems, but I probably won't (unless it's a typing error or really bad grammar ). Like I said, I fall into that latter category of people. And if something I wrote does happen to stir a little teeny tiny feeling in you, that's probably the best reward for me.

Thanks for stopping by
