A LITTLE ABOUT ME:
I'm a die hard country music fan. I enjoy reading, writing, and spending time with family and friends. I've found writing to be a healing balm. It helps me to vent in a more constructive way then I use to. My poems are the result of life experiences. The good, the bad, the ugly and yes, even the mundane sometimes. They're all very personal to me for some reason or another which I'm sure would cause others to question my sensibilities. Should you care to wander by and sit a while, I hope you'll find something you like.

Rules For Sustaining Real Love

1. Love yourself first. Your relationship with yourself is the template from which all others are formed.
2. Partnering is a choice. The choice to be in a relationship is up to you.
3. Creating love is a process. Moving from "I" to "WE" requires a shift in perspective. Being an authentic couple is an revolution from connection to commitment.
4. Relationships provide opportunities to grow. Your relationship will serve as an unofficial "Life Shop" in which you will learn about yourself and how you can grow on your personal path.
5. Communication is essential. The open exchange of thoughts and feelings is the lifeblood of any relationship.
6. Negotiations will be required. There will be times when you and your partner must work through impasses. Doing so with respect will create win/win situations.
7. Your relationship will be challenged by change. The road of life will present many twists and turns, how you choose to handle those obstacles will determine the success of your relationships.
8. You must nurture relationships in order for them to thrive. Treasure those you love and your relationships will flourish. Avoid taking loved ones for granted. Devote time, energy and attention to your connection.
9. Renewal is the key to longevity. "Happily ever after" means the ability to keep the relationship fresh and vital, through humor, imaginations and spontaneity.
10. You will forget all of this the moment you fall in love! You know all these rules inherently. The challenge is to remember them when you fall under the enchanting spell of love.

The warrior that approaches life from the negative will lose the battle by default.

If you are going to walk on thin ice, you might as well dance.

Power and energy are created in the mind and channeled through the body, not the other way around.
