I am a survivor and as such I am able to understand much more when it comes to reading between the lines and the underlying emotions of others. I am not perfect and refuse to try and be so.... it makes for one becoming boring and lifeless. I am a mother, fighter, lover and healer as well as being a woman.

As an author of two books, ("On Dragon Wings" and "Messages from the Mirror") I am happy to see such achievement from myself. I have plans for two more books in the future, one of poetry itself and another of a more erotic nature with my short stories and erotic poetry. *Rubbing my swollen belly I smile wide
knowing that she is there growing inside
here I am eight months along and loving it
I cannot wait to see her sweet loving smile

Who would have thought that life could be
meaningless until you are about to give birth
wondering through life on my own was so lonely
here is my blessing so wonderful and worth while

Looking up at the nurse that is walking in
I beam her a nervous and anxious smile
Grabbing my belly with a protective glance
She just smiles down at me with a knowing look

First times are always the hardest for you
You will be fine so do not worry to much
Running her hand through my hair she awaits
A nervous laugh escapes and I am feeling better

Feeling the pain erupting through my abdomen
I clutch at her hand as I grit my teeth hard
the pain is excruciating and unbearable to me
I hope my baby girl will come to my arms soon

Breathing coming in gasps of pain and cries
pushing harder and harder as I hear the chant
Push push breathe, push push breathe, push push breathe
Gritting my teeth to keep the scream inside I push!

Throwing my back down on the bed in relief as I
hear the doctors exclaim that I have a baby girl
Beautiful green eyes and a head full of black hair
all ten toes and fingers everything in place. Beauty.

Holding her for the first time I begin to cry
looking into her sweet adorable face I wipe the tears
cascading down my sweat drenched face, My baby girl
I love her so much already as I name her my little Rose. *

WHAT WONDERS THE MOON BRINGS

O, what wonders the moon holds

like night whispers trickling through her fingers

her secrets unsolved, displayed only as love

and the dreams she brings, vibrant, lively

casting out the pail gray of afternoon shadows

to display her own, dark with modesty

for she embraces everything unconditionally

blanketing it in black upon black

because she understands the importance of rainbows

and their absence in the white of too much light



O, what relief the moon brings

from skies so vast and consuming with only her

and her children (the stars) to guide them

a prestige not abused nor forgotten

peeking through clouds, over mountains and waves

through hooded eyelids always appreciative

our homage so humble, as we could not compare

creatures of all walks praising those gifts

we were given freely, with no request for glory

faithfully returning at each end of day
