“There is a magic in that little world, home; it is a mystic circle that surrounds comforts and virtues never known beyond its hallowed limits”
Robert Southey quotes (English Poet and Writer of prose. 1774-1843)

“Let us face a pluralistic world in which there are no universal churches, no single remedy for all diseases, no one way to teach or write or sing, no magic diet, no world poets, and no chosen races, but only the wretched and wonderfully diversified”

Jacques Barzun

“In answer to your inquiry, I consider that the chief dangers which confront the coming century will be religion without the Holy Ghost, Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration, politics without God, and heaven without hell.”

William Booth

“The magic of first love is our ignorance that it can ever end”

Benjamin Disraeli

“If a man harbors any sort of fear, it percolates through all his thinking, damages his personality, makes him landlord to a ghost.”

Lloyd C. Douglas

“An idea, like a ghost, must be spoken to a little before it will explain itself.”

Charles Dickens

"To rebel! That is the immediate objective of poets! We can not wait and will not be held back...The 'poetic marvelous' and the unconscious are the true inspirers of rebels and poets." -Philip Lamantia

I write to express and to practice my writing.
I also write to stir things up in people, and hopefully to ignite their imaginations as well as reawaken their minds.

    Hiya!

Oh, yay you're 19 too! Sometimes, I feel so lonely here because a lot of people on AP are far older than me. It's always nice to meet someone my age!
I wanted to say I really loved your poem "Egyptian Silk". It was so beautiful and I was quite surprised with the mention of divine light, Sun, priestess etc.. because my element is light and I don't know if you believe in past lives (I'm a pagan) but I remember lives where I was a priestess in Egypt.

    Anyways, take care!
    Blessings,
    ~Susanna (aka Suz)
