I have been writing since 1997. It all started when I met a friend from North Carolina. She was an artist. We talked online for weeks. I wanted to create something artistic for her. Consequently, "Our Special Place" was born. We never met. We never talked on the telephone. My first endeavor at writing poetry turned out well. I continued to write sharing my work with friends. One day one of my friends suggested I publish my work. With her financial assistance my book was published titled, "Sonnets of Romance and Faith". I was never interested in selling books so after the first printing was sold out we never ordered a second. Now, I just enjoy writing when something touches my heart. I rarely write about myself. Most of my poems were by special request or based on true stories people have shared with me.
