I won't write if I don't want too. Its not like it’s a switch I could turn on. I don't write for anyone...JUST for ME!
I don't write to enter it in competitions...I don't write to win.
Because poetry in more than that to me...It's an outlet to let my mind talk. To speak without saying a word out loud. It’s not up to me if you don't like what you see. Because what I write is more than a phony charade to prove that I’m deep..It’s my medicine. It’s how I get through the day without hurting myself..Its how I’m able to smile at things that should make me sad. I've been able to build a shield...impenetrable yet selectively permeable to those I want to let enter.
If you get my poetry..You get me. Its not like I’m forcing you to understand me and relate to me. But I lay fake for NO ONE!
So take that..digest it and then consider what state of mind to read my poetry in.
