Blessings to you!
Let me start off by introducing myself. My name is Jeremy DeForrest and I've been on http://www.allpoetry.com on a semi-regular basis for many years now. A lot has changed in my life over the many years since I started here. There have been many new developments in my life. Also, many things have stayed very much the same way. So, without further ado, let me get down to brass taxes (not sure what that means but I like the expression).
I've been married for almost two months now. It's been a real life-change for me though. Anybody who has said that married life is difficult, sure knows what they were talking about. I think every day is a little better. It's a matter of figuring out that your life really isn't the same. That you aren't the same and that you no longer live selfishly for yourself. I'm not saying that every day is easy but ultimately, I think it's worth it.
This is my second quarter at Green River Community College. I'm taking two classes which I'm really excited about. The first one is introduction to Poetry. I think it's going to be a lot of fun to examine and real other poets and poetry and really be able to take a deeper look into the history of poetry. Poetry really is brilliant and I only have to take a look at the book of Psalms to see how much God loves poetry! To me, that's a really huge blessing! I'm also taking a class that's going to dive deep into critical and creative thinking. I don't know what the entails but it sounds pretty awesome!
Anyways, we're about half way through 2008 and this year is off to a bumpy but joyous start! I hope to write here more frequently and between the lines of my poetry, be able to find the passion that I once had for writing. I thank everybody for their support and their love and I pray that God blesses you all.
Peace Be With You,
Jeremy
