My pen name stems from my believe that God and Nature are one in the same. I see God in Nature everywhere I go. The Jewish word for God is same as the Jewish word for Nature. Thus Spiritual Nature. I am a Christian and believe in our Lord, with all my heart and soul. So often my poetry is about religion, in one sense or another.

Poetry, for me...is a delicate wind that must be gently channeled into words. I so love to write. It is the freedom of my soul and I am most at home when I am behind the pen. That...is where I surely exist.

I tend to write when my emotions are intense. I love writing poetry, it has been my favorite form of expression, since I was child. My poetry does tend to be a little dark sometimes, but come along, you might enjoy the night and with me, there is always the light as a new day dawns.

I have truly found a home here at AP and I had no outlet prior to discovering this site. It has proven to be a life saver and wealth of true poets. I am in awe of many of you and can only pray that one day....I may be half as good as you guys are.

I am also an artist who will try any form, but my favorite is charcoal portraits and the classic nude. I started drawing when I was around 5 or 6. My mom introduced me to art with just a "U" shaped face and dots for eyes and nose and a line for a mouth. Such a simple drawing opened up the world of artistic expression to me. All my original faces had one tear drop flowing from one eye, which expressed my true emotions, even as a child.

I come from a background of physical, sexual and verbal abuse through most of my childhood and even into my teenage years. I didn't seem to be able to escape it. But, it made me stronger and filled me with compassion for my fellow man. So I am thankful for a past that made me a good, faithful, kind to a fault, woman. So you see it all worked out in the end. I am happily married for three years to a wonderful man.
