My Motto that I try to live by each day:
Original Source of Creation, The Void of All That Is, Thank you for the breath of life, Thank you for the gifts. Eternal Mystery, touch my heart, In beauty may I walk. Sacred Mystery, be my guide, So I may Walk my Talk. Infinite Source, remain with me, So, I may always know, The warmth of your Eternal Flame, Deep within my soul.

Below is a quote from Paul Harvey that really conveys my feeling better than I can express them myself. If each of us would use this as a guide to living our lives, it would be so much more peaceful and worth the trip in this life!
Paul Harvey Writes:
We tried so hard to make things better for our kids that we made them worse. For my grandchildren, I'd like better.
I'd really like for them to know about hand me down clothes and homemade ice cream and leftover meat loaf sandwiches. I really would.
I hope you learn humility by being humiliated, and that you learn honesty by being cheated.
I hope you learn to make your own bed and mow the lawn and wash the car.
And I really hope nobody gives you a brand new car when you are sixteen.
It will be good if at least one time you can see puppies born and your old dog put to sleep.
I hope you get a black eye fighting for something you believe in.
I hope you have to share a bedroom with your younger brother/sister. And it's all right if you have to draw a line down the middle of the room, but when he wants to crawl under the covers with you because he's scared, I hope you let him.
When you want to see a movie and your little brother/sister wants to tag along, I hope you'll let him/her.
I hope you have to walk uphill to school with your friends and that you live in a town where you can do it safely.
On rainy days when you have to catch a ride, I hope you don't ask your driver to drop you two blocks away so you won't be seen riding with someone as uncool as your Mom
If you want a slingshot, I hope your Dad teaches you how to make one instead of buying one.
I hope you learn to dig in the dirt and read books.
When you learn to use computers, I hope you also learn to add and subtract in your head.
I hope you get teased by your friends when you have your first crush on a boy\girl, and when you talk back to your mother that you learn what ivory soap tastes like.
May you skin your knee climbing a mountain, burn your hand on a stove and stick your tongue on a frozen flagpole.
I don't care if you try a beer once, but I hope you don't like it. And if a friend offers you dope or a joint, I hope you realize he is not your friend.
I sure hope you make time to sit on a porch with your Grandma/Grandpa and go fishing with your Uncle.
May you feel sorrow at a funeral and joy during the holidays.
I hope your mother punishes you when you throw a baseball through your neighbor's window and that she hugs you and kisses you at Hannukah/Christmas time when you give her a plaster mold of your hand.
These things I wish for you - tough times and disappointment, hard work and happiness. To me, it's the only way to appreciate life.
Written with a pen. Sealed with a kiss. I'm here for you. And if I die before you do, I'll go to heaven and wait for you.
We secure our friends, not by accepting favors, but by doing them.

A special honor was given to me today by my friend "The Crapaud". A special poem was written by this poet that has truly touched me. Thank you my brother, Walk Well in your path.
Ta'sha
by The Crapaud on May 13
A lonely spirit dances amongst the misty trees,
Starlight for a head dress grass stains on her knees.
Wolf through the shadow slips, silent and unseen.
Never straying far from from the places she has been.
His promise once given remains still unbroken
His howl in the night is the obvious token.
I watch for your safety where ever you sleep
And here in my heart your mercy I keep.
So here in Caddoan is the perfect end.
Wolf equals Ta'sha which in turn equals friend.
The word Ta'sha is pronounced phoneticaly. This piece was inspired by a Caddoan legend, after reading SpiritMothers biog page and looking up Caddo on google. Blessings on you SpiritMother

Additional Infromation:
If you would look on further down the page of this bio, you will see that I can be whatever I wish to be in my poetry. I can be the darkness in dreams, the shadow on the sidewalk, the light of the moon, the breeze that lifts the hair or the words that bring laughter from deep inside. That is the beauty in writing, you become what you write at the moment, life experiences are the greatest tools to use to bring that ability to life. That Spirit that dwells in each of us, just waiting to be let out for a little while!
(I am of Caddo-Choctaw, Apache heritage), I walk the "Good Red Road" of Shamanism. Creator abides in us all through our spirit..... "It is the choices we make in this life that leads us ever upwards towards Creator or leaves us mired in our own dysfunctions", looking back at the "what might have beens".... I do feel that I must make a little distinction between Shamanism and Religion... Even though we do believe in a "Higher Spirit"that we call the "Creator", the teachings in their own right have no "Religious Name" ...( Such as Catholic, Protestant, etc.)... Many times have we been called "Pagan", so if that is what you wish to perceive, then that is your choice... No right or wrong...just a perception that will be honored, for that is your idea of truth in your own mind... There is one person that I recently met on AP that has touched my heart and soul with their writings. That person is "Presence". Thank you for being a big "PRESENCE" in my life. Others will be added as they come along for there are many here who's poems touch me deeply. Thank you to all.

I hope that you find strength and courage that is yours during this difficult time. You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers.
