SortingthroughlifeShow poetry

My real name is Brittany, my friends call me either Alice or Bitty. Either one works for me, or you can just call me SortingthroughLife. At this moment, I'm 18 years old and a freshman in college. Currently, I'm attending a local community college, but my goal is to make it to Dallas Baptisit University by next year, (2010). I intend on becoming a Trauma Psychologist, which is someone who helps those who are survivors of School Shootings, hostage situations and things like that. My main area will be with children and teens.
If you ever just need someone to talk to, I'm here. Send me a message and I'll reply as soon as I can. (And since I'm currently out of work and school, I'm always online.)

Not going to hide it, I'm a follower of Jesus, and proud of it.

Last August, (August 27th, 2008, to be exact) I lost my best friend, Sarah. She was killed in a car accident, and alot of my darker pieces come from my depression, which stems partially from that.

I'm a colorful person, random, and never boring if I can help it. I refuse to follow tradition and intend on having Cherry Pie instead of a wedding cake, a Red and White wedding dress and a Ruby wedding ring.

If you have any questions about my work, feel free to ask. I don't pretend to be amazing, but I like writing poetry, and I figure that as long as I like it, why not do it?

  • I'm inside a large Parking Garage, at the end of the garage is a large Black area, an area of nothingness... Just a large Black area, full of water, the depth is unknown. I'm walking steadily towards the end of the garage, holding a cloth covered book in my hands. On the front, in flowing letters it reads "Sarah"

    Dear Brittany,

You have been nominated by a friend to be Hoodwinked by our group, the Poetic Bandits.

It is our mission to promote good poetry and to lift the spirits of our fellow poets and be an encouragement to all here at AP. May you continue to write your thoughtful poetry here and be a blessing to others.
