My name is Sophie Newman-Sanders. I was first inspired to write by Christopher Paolini, who wrote Eragon - not by his writing style so much as his age when he began: he was 14. So was I. Since then, I have completed three novels, although nothing of significance has happened with them yet. I would like to be an author, although I do also write poetry in my spare time, and I have had a lot of spare time recently. Four months ago, I hurt my back and since then I have been unable to function properly. I have had difficulty sleeping, I can't work and I get immensely frustrated. I am person who loves to live, so having to say "no" to things is really difficult. But it has given me more time to write, and provided me with a lot of pent-up emotion to dissipate in writing. This, then, is the result.

kyew on June 5I don't think I've read a bad poem by you yet. I'm thinking no one is reading your poetry because you're not reading anyone else's poetry. now, I'm not trying to get you to read my poems - you may or not, as you wish - but to get people to read yours (especially when you're new) you have to read theirs.
I like your poems by the way and welcome to allpoetry.
