I'm supposed to write something about myself here.
But I'm nobody important. Just some girl you knew once upon a time. Someone you've forgotten. Just another face in the crowd.
Remember that girl from ninth grade who sat a few rows back in math class? The one that you never paid attention to, because you were too busy with your own friends?
How about the girl you hooked up with, drunk, at a mutual friend's party? The one you never spoke to afterwards. Where is she now?
Or the girl on the subway who sat next to you and only took up half a seat? Or the one who sat across from you and took up three seats?
I am none of those people, yet I am each and every one of them.
And even if you never actually knew me, it makes no difference. You could have. The point is that you'll never know whether you did or not, because you never cared enough to notice me smile at the things you said, cry about the things you didn't say, laugh at the way your hair would never stay down, and frown at the way you didn't have time for me.
Next time you see me. Or whoever that girl is. Let her know that you know she exists.

Gulfbreeze : I'm supposed to write something about myself here on September 17The sadness written in these few paragraphs is heartwrenchingly touching. I hope with all the I have in me that you know inside that you matter more than than others short commings do. You are a beautiful shining star and their loss is exactly that...
