I'm an old geezer... Gonna be 76 this year (2010) I'm a retired US Army Chief Warrant Ofiicer, and I've been diddling with poetry most of my life, never getting serious about it until I returned from my second tour of duty in Vietnam. Since my retirement, I've dabbled in the arts, acting, playwriting, (even had one produced) and poetry. I have a small collection of Vietnam poetry I may put on here, and also some silly stuff, some Love stuff, and some topical stuff. I've entered a few contests here, and I enjoy that. I live in the San Bernardino Mountains in Southern California, about 90 miles East of Los Angeles. I'll probably be hanging out here more often, as the moderator of the site keeps goosing me to get involved! Other than that, I enjoy reading and commenting on other poet's work.
