from "The Cure for Pain"

by Aaron Weiss

You'd only make the softest sound,
like sugar pouring into tea.
Darling let yourself pour down
and dissolve into the Love
who revealed Himself there quietly to me...

(Jesus have mercy on us.)

"Too Bright to See, Too Loud to Hear"

by Spencer Chamberlain & Aaron Gillespie

Good God, if your song leaves our lips,
if your work leaves our hands,
then we will be wonderers and vagabonds.

they will stare and say how empty we are,
how the freedom we had turned us up as dead men.

Let us be cold, make us weak.
Let us, because we all have ears.
Let us, because we all have eyes.

How they knew that this would happen...
We’re so run down!

Good God! Can you still get us home…
How can we still get home?
I’m not dreaming;
We’re forgetting our forgiveness!

from "Age of Insects"

by Josh Dies

Don't turn a deaf ear to my voice;
There is one thing I want you to know-
I have always loved You,
though my life has never said so.

Hold me to You as I pray.
Take the rest of the world away.
My blood runs warm because of You.
The scales fall out of my eyes...

New day springs light on the burdened, the downcast.
My past lingers to define the outcast.
I long for the coming of chapter two,

to put an end to this cycle of backlash
So I start where the last chapter ended,
but the veil has been lifted,

my thoughts are sifted,
every wrong is righted,
the new song I sing with every breath, breathes sight in

So let your face consume my mind!

Hair standing on end, it’s sent forth.
Is this the end I was always meant for?
I still long for the taste of better days long ago.
Long past, so dead to me but yet
here it is in the palm of my hand to see,
as I witness the birth of a new beginning.
I sense it breathing,

I feel it seething,
I see my fear begin fading.

Breathe on me for my new beginning!
