SmilingShow poetry

"One who smiles rather than rages is always the stronger." -Proverb

Firstly, let me introduce myself as Brit a.k.a. Smiling. I have been writing for what seems like forever, but truly has only been a lifetime thus far. I am a: daughter, best friend, sister, poet, dreamer, granddaughter, student, writer, smiler, animal lover, and all of the above (where it applies, of course). I have three cats (Ollie, Milo, Scout) and a dog (Bones), along with several nameless fish. I am the type who laughs at inappropriate times and can appear to cry for no reason. If you get to know me, I am sure you can add to this ongoing learning experience; I will be sure to do the same with you.

I never ask anyone to like my poetry, as everyone has their own literary tastes. I never ask anyone to understand my meaning behind the words, as I hope you find your own.

Write on, fellow poets, write on. (And to all of you poetry seekers, please, read on!)

Peace Eternal
Fritz

    A blue poet
    Passion is strong
    Listening at night,
    lingering in dust

    Abandon the letter,
    to fashioned stories
    Old is the companion

    Hollow freedom

Hi Brit. Thank you so much for stopping by my author page and reading my poems. My poetry means the world to me and I am always happy when other people say they enjoy my work. I haven't heard of A. Van Jordan. I'll have to look him up at the library sometime and see if I can find the collection "Quantum Lyrics". The title of the book sounds intriguing. Hope you're having an excellent summer. Peace.
