Why I write:
I am here for fun, friendship and enlightenment.
I am reluctant to call myself a 'poet'... I am new to writing and only found my muse about 2 years ago... She does tend to come and go as she pleases... I am here though, to improve as a writer.
You can find out a lot about my personality by reading my poems, but if there is anything in particular you would like to know, the easiest way to find out would be to just ask me!
Mostly I write to release my emotions. Sometimes what I write based on fact, sometimes it's fictional. I use a lot of different styles and am always experimenting with different forms. I am here to learn and to broaden my creative horizon.
For me, I find my best work is written when I just type it out like I think it. Raw and unedited. The more I work on something, the more it gets 'cliche' or just not me anymore. BUT I am not adverse to taking advice from others - a different pair of eyes is always helpful.
In saying all of this, I have to say as I have grown as a writer, I have grown in maturity to. I am not the senstitive type (well even if I am I don't let it show!) and critical comments are more then welcome on my writes but please be respectful, tactful, and honest!
Keep in mind also that we all have different styles of writing. If you do critique my poem technically, please don't be offended if I don't take all your advice. It does not mean that I didn't appreciate it, it just means that if I was to change every single thing I wrote because someone told me to change it, then I would be forever editing... The poem would no longer be mine would it?
I always return the favor when it comes to comments, critical or causal. I will admit that I mostly give casual comments... There a few different reasons as to why but I won't explain here :)

Some random 'facts' about me:
- In general I am a friendly, easy-going person - but don't make me angry LOL
- Some say I could talk under water with rocks in my mouth LOL
- But actually growing up I was extremely shy
- Sometimes I am very outgoing and love to drink and party
- Sometimes I am very introverted and love to sit by myself in my house enjoying the silence
- I am a night owl and I hate mornings
- I'm a perfectionist and a procrastinator both at the same time... so I guess you could say I'm never satisfied!
- I lead a very busy life and am not one to sit still for long

Coffee beans when I wake up in the morning I feel safe and secure your love is my blanket it keeps me warm in the cold of dawn your eyes closed so tight, our love so sweet and pure
when we awaken and I get that first kiss its like all is new again our love is a strange kind of bliss I can face the world; I am alive for you
love is a strange thing it can make bringing a morning coffee into a beautiful caring ritual As important as you wearing my ring
Seven years has what it has been that’s a lot of coffee and a lot of love I get to see in each and every coffee bean |
