This is the duty of our generation as we enter the twenty-first century -- solidarity with the weak, the persecuted, the lonely, the sick, and those in despair. It is expressed by the desire to give a noble and humanizing meaning to a community in which all members will define themselves not by their own identity but by that of others.
Allah'u'Abha! So I made it to Colorado in one piece as most of you now know. It has proven to be a wonderful escape from the chaos back home. I am actually finding it quite difficult to adjust to having a ‘normal’ life! The new experiences are incredible and so far I am loving it here. I’ll be finishing up high school this year, even though it is kind of pointless to still be there. Since I didn’t think enough to realize that when you have all of your credits you should graduate early (who the heck knocked my brain cells out?) I’ll be taking all AP classes and classes at the University of Colorado in Boulder. It's pretty awesome, I'm pretty stoked.
The Baha’i Faith has made me the person I am and significantly influenced my goals for the future. I am hoping to get into one of the top liberal arts schools in the country, pursue a degree in international relations and get all the course work required to continue on to medical school. Assuming I make it through med-school I’d love to do work with Doctors Without Boarders, Partners In Health, or a similar organization.
As Aristotle said, without friends no one would choose to live. I have found that his wisdom has proven true in my life over and over. My amazing friends back east have helped me through more than even they realize and picked me up more times than I can count. Megan, Alex, Keyna, Jacqueline, and everyone else, I miss you all dearly!
Since I have been in Colorado I have been able to make some more super cool friends and am exceptionally grateful to them for being so kind! My amigos here are a-m-a-z-i-n-g and I have enjoyed every minute spent with them. Mucho gracias for being so incredibly awesome guys! You know who you are.
Other random facts:
- spiders scare the crap outa me
- Bush scares me even more
- education is the way out of the world's problems
- world peace is a must
- God ROCKS! Love will heal the world

My job is not a beautiful one. It is not one that gives me riches or wealth of any kind. I am known by some, hated by all, loved by very, very few. Years ago
