[07.06.04]

How could i ever stay away?

I stopped writing for a long time, because it became painful, and there were so many things going on that were hurting me beyond belief.

I've spent the last year living on my own, and it's taught so much that i never realized i didn't know...I've grown and changed, but at the same time, i feel like i've grown more into the person that i want to be.

Today i wrote a poem for the first time in over six months. It felt like a miracle was occuring inside of my soul.

I lost my pencil, i lost my words, & my voice was drown out by the roar of the surrounding world for too long...

But how could i ever stay away?

These words, this voice, it's all i have to offer to the world. it is my soul, my depth, and my entire being.

I write because i exist, and i exist because i write...

So, here it goes again, we're blasting off...

Yay, you're back!

I actually took a bit of a break from AllPoetry myself for quite a while since I wasn't writing much poetry lately and I thought I was going to quit. I wasn't sure if it was for good or not and I like most of my poems on here, so I didn't delete anything. Instead, I just gave away all my points to someone was (is? I'm not sure) still active on here.

I think I shall go and read your new poems now.
