Somewhere beneath a tattered sky
I sat and asked the storm clouds why
Love seems such a fleeting thing
Elusive as a breath on wing
No reply was sent my way
To answer me this troubled day
Poetry rushed through my head
Overheard, though nothing said
Every word a truth to know it
Tears in the heart of SilentPoet

Lost
on a painted sky
where the clouds are hung
for the poet's eye
you may find Him
if you may find Him....
there on a distant shore
by the wings of dreams
through an open door
you may know Him
if you may....
Be
as a page that aches for a word
which speaks on a theme that is timeless
and the one God will make for your day....
Sing
as a song in search
of a voice that is silent
and the sun God will make for your way....
and we dance
to a whispered voice
overheard by the soul
undertook by the heart
you may know it
if you may....

If you believe or if you doubt
There's a universal justice
And the eyes of truth
Are always watching you.

I am closer to believing
Than I ever was before
On the crest of this elation
Must I crash upon the shore
And with the driftwood of acquaintance
Light the fire to love once more
I am windblown....
I am times.
From the opium of customs
To the ledges of extremes
Don't believe it 'til you've held it
Life is seldom what it seems
But lay your heart upon the table
And in the shuffling of dreams
Remember who on earth you are.
To be closer to believing
To be just a breath away
On the death of inspiration
I would buy back yesterday
But there's no creuller illusion
There's no sharper coin to pay
As I reach out....
It slips away.
So be closer to believing
Though your world is torn apart
For a moment changes all things
And to end is but to start
And if your journey is unrewarded
May your God lift up your heart
You are windblown....
But you are mine.
