          Love is like the wild rose-briar,
          Friendship like the holly tree
          The holly is dark when the rose-briar blooms
          But which will bloom most constantly?

          The wild rose-briar is sweet in spring
          Its summer blossoms scent the air
          Yet wait till winter comes again
          And who will call the wild-briar fair?

          Then, scorn the silly rose-wreath now
          And deck thee with the holly's sheen
          That when December blights thy brow

About Me

Poetry is still a very unknown phenomenon to me. I love reading poems, and I have written a few my self. Not many as I'm struggling to get my feelings out on the paper but it's coming.
I have just started writing poetry so I've still got hips of stuff to learn about it and I could need help to make my poems better. So if you see something you reckon I could change, add or remove, please let me know.
I think poetry is a great way to describe how you feel, and when I start I find it really hard to stop. I only write when I'm feeling really down and somethings happened..
I don't really write poems with rhyme because I'm not good at it and I feel it's better to write a poem that makes sense, without rhyme, than writing a poem that's not making sense at all but with rhyme.. Plus it just sounds so forced if I use it.
I have written a few rhyming poems though, but most of them are just free ones.

What influence my poetry style is mostly loneliness and sad happenings. I can't picture my self writing a happy poem. That's almost impossible to me as I'm not especially a happy person.
Problems with parents, friends and boys influnce me the most.
As I've got quite a lot of problems and I'm VERY sensitive, I write almost everyday. I don't post up all of  my stuff, as some of the pieces are quite personal. So I mainly write just to get my feelings out somehow, since I find it hard talking to people about me and problems I've got.

The past few years have not been easy ones, rather difficoult and depressing. I reckon the world can be slightly unfair now and then, and I just don't understand why bad things happen to those who don't deserve it.
But I guess we need bad times to appreciate the good ones, but still,  there's got to be a limit for how many unfair and hard things that can happen to one?
At one point, it can all get too much for one person to handle. So why does it still happen?
I've been wondering of that so many times. But I've realised that I've just got to accept it, some people are more lucky than others. That's just the way it is. Even if the lucky ones often don't deserve it.

That's my view on the world. It's unfair and hard.

A lot of people have been wondering why on earth I write poems in english only, and the reason is quite simple. The norwegian language is having a limited vocabulary, which makes it hard to put words on your feelings. English is so rich in words and I find it a lot easier to find words for my feelings. It's as simple as that. But as I'm not english, my vocabulary isn't good. But I do my best, and if you see something that should have been changed or written in a different way, then I would be very grateful if you told me.
