After quite a long spell away from this site, I believe I'm ready to come back and throw my writing block out of the window.
Many things have come and gone, and I've realised that the only constant is the self. Without the self, one is nothing, a hollow chestnut shell within which the nut itself dried up and withered away.
I'm a believer in Barthez - you don't need to know anything about me in order to critique my writing. The Death of the Author, if you want a name for the theory.
However, if you want to get to know me, just ask away. At the worst, I can simply not answer.
I write in free verse, and only recently I'm managing to write in rhyme too.
My chosen name is Shinigami - it is the Japanese name for the embodiment of death (a sort of the angel of death). I have chosen it not because I have an obsession with death or want to look 'dark and gothic', but rather because I believe that even in something as terminal, there is life and always, a new start.
