I'm back. Yeah, back baby, baaaaack!

All bad poetry is born of heartfelt emotion. This is probably why I don't really appreciate cutting poems or abuse poems. I respect the strength of emotion that prompts them but I don't go wild about the millionth 'I cut myself and I'm the only one who's ever felt emotions like this' poem that invariably pops up on the site each day. That isn't to say you shouldn't write as an expression of relief - we've all of us done it - just don't expect me to read them.
I like poets who play with the beauty of language. That doesn't mean reaching for your thesaurus every five seconds, but poets who know how to use words effectively. I dislike people who criticise my poetry when it's obvious they know nothing about the particular genre. I like to write Poetry of the First World War, Anthropological Poems, Gothic Poems, Fantasy poetry and dark fairy tales.
About me - well, I'm old before my time, that's for sure. My friends say I have lived before. I am madly in love with my gorgeous fiance, who I hope to marry before very long. I've been with him for 5 years but I'd been looking for him for even longer. I've written a children's book which I'm trying to get published. Also, I have 5 pet rats, whom I adore.
And I want to thank all of those who applaud my work and write kind, thoughtful comments. I have resigned myself to the fact I may never be able to reply to you all (though I try) so I want to say now - thank you so much.

This is a gorgeous photograph. I am sure I've said that before.

Thanks for reading and commenting on my poem. I'm okay, trying hard to lift myself from resent impactual circumstances. If I write it out, it becomes vapor and dissipates. With sisters like you I will pull through any down time with an onslought of graciousness. Thanks for being concerned my heart. I am truly just fine!

    How are you?
