SeshetaShow poetry

Texas is treating me extremely well, especially now that I have phone and internet with which to contact the outside world! My first weeks here I wrote an exorbitant amount of poetry, and eventually it will make it onto my computer, and some of it should trickle here. I miss AP and my peeps here oddles, so don't hesitate to contact me!

ElliotAshcroft, I couldn't do it without you, love.

Sesheta. "She who is a scribe."

I have been through many names in my AllPoetry past, the most recent—and my personal favorite—ones including: Isalie, Jezebel Rose Isalie, and JezIsaRos. So if you're unsure of who I am, that is probably why.

I do not plan on changing my account name anytime soon; hopefully not ever again. This one feels just about perfect. It is the name of an Egyptian goddess, the mythology of which is partial to me; it's meaning is so perfect for me, as a writer and the older sister of a pharoah (I have to scribe his homework because he has Asperger's); and it sounds amazing. We'll see how it goes.

I am at a major turning point in my life's journey. I'm 18 years old. My parents are moving to Texas, and I'm trying my damnedest to become independent and stay here with my network of friends, college, and dog. It's hard, it's already stressful, but I have faith in myself, and more importantly, my faith. I am Wiccan. I am also a novelist, in the process of editing my first completed novel, with which I am dearly in love. I also fancy myself an honorary Taoist and halfway decent poet.

I am a complex person who craves simplicity.

I release chaos to return to order.

I allow the rest to speak for itself.

I have a lot of work here on AllPoetry, and even more on my computers, and still more in notebooks I've yet to go through. I write constantly. In expressing my emotions, the words aren't always pretty, or even decent, so you'll find the bad mixed with the good. My personal recommendations of older works are as follows:

Double Betrayal

Living Forest

Cold

The Angel In The Lake

Beauty In Death

Heart Of Stone

Alive

Open-ended Departure

Echo

Laughter

Open My Eyes

To Persevere

Good Enough

I adore almost all of my most recent poems, so I highly suggest them as well!

Not to alienate anyone...but off the top of my head, my very favorite AP poets are: Dalaney, Hetha, Desire, Auburn Sunrise, Cat, ElliotAshcroft. Sorry to those I've missed. I haven't been around much lately. I'll catch up on commenting one day, I swear!

My favorite famous poets: Marge Piercy, Anne Sexton, W. B. Yeats, Ralph Waldo Emerson, William Shakespeare...{to be continued}

Special thanks to: Hetha, Desire, Dalaney, ElliotAshcroft—you, and so many others, are why I keep coming back to AP, and without you...I don't know what I would do.
