NO DAY BUT TODAY!



I used to be http://allpoetry.com/KeepingTheStars when I first joined this site June 27, 2003. I came here because, I needed to find solace. I met an amazing person who captured my heart and offered me a friendship that I never could have imagined or felt I deserved. I moved here to SeptemberFaith on September 23, 2004 because of the Faith that September brought. Thank you Rosa for giving me faith and hope, love and friendship.. always by your side... always.

Life is hard. Yes, that I can admit. But how could we appreciate the good, if we didn't know what bad was? I'm trying everyday, to remember that I have great things and people in my life and that I don't want to waste one day on anything that will not move me forward, make me happy or benefit me, my spirit or my heart!

I will not let circumstance control me. I will be happy, because I DESERVE happiness.

I am Criss.. nice to meet you! =) I am a 24 year old woman, from Southern California. I am stubborn, bossy and out spoken, but I love to love, and when I do, I do it from the deepest most sacred part of my heart. I stand up for what I believe in and can admit when I am wrong. I have a hard time trusting people. Even your best friend will betray you, if it is in her best interest. I've learned that that hard way.

I am a friend, a sister, a daughter. I am compassionate, caring, thoughtful and creative. I love to live and am learning to take chances. I am strong and I know what I want. I believe in long walks on the beach and love at first sight. I believe in true love, and in being faithful. I am learning to let go, give in and walk away when it is the time and place to do so.

I believe in unconditional love and friendship and I also believe in being honest with those you care about, including telling them when you think they are wrong. A friend of mine used to tell me "a true friend stabs you in the front" and I believe this is true. I believe in Karma and in what goes around comes around and that happiness like unhappiness is a proactive choice.

I have made the choice to be happy, to smile on bad days and never give into the rain. I have decided that love is worth the risk, even if it means getting my heart broken. I've learned, that you cant control someone else's heart, you just have to follow yours. And believe me, I've followed mine down broken roads, and I hope that one day, I'll be led to someone, who wont break my heart.

I have learned that the wall you build between you and someone else... can be stronger and more powerful than the foundation you had laid your love, friendship.... relationship on..

I try not to allow walls between those I love.. God knows... it happens, but if the other person is willing... I'd be the first to either build a bridge or climb like hell over that wall.

I have always wanted to do something great... the kind of thing that would change the world, or even, one life. I want to make a difference. I want to be able to stand in front of God one day and be proud of the person I was, and know, that I made Him proud, in my choices, and the way I lived my life.

I believe in God! I have a personal relationship with my Savior. I dont believe in organized religion. I dont believe you have to go to church to know the Lord. I believe that, "going to church doesnt make you any more a Christian, than standing in a garage makes you a car". I believe that God intended for us to interpret his word, into the modern world. I dont believe that if I dont give the church 10% of my income, that I'm going to hell. I've sat and listened to pastors use a whole Sunday worship to talk about tides and offering and I dont believe that giving money to the church is benefiting God. I believe that contributing to organizations that help children, battered women and people who are in need, is just as noble. Sacrifice is Sacrifice, period.
