Most of my poetry was written at least a lifetime ago in Scotland. I have reproduced it here all these years later as it still seems poignant from what I have read on this site and if it empowers people to know that life goes on and gets better then what the hell.... To add a footnote of sorts; some of the grammar in a couple of my poems is incorrect - I wrote these from the heart and in a brain-flash. In a bid to stay true to my feelings at the time, I decided to leave the errors as they were. To me, it gives an additional insight into the frame of mind I was in at that minute in my life, so please excuse any "mistakes" that may have been made.
I am very happily married with a beautiful family that I adore and find that I can only write when my heart is dark and full of angst - which hasn't happened in many moons.
Since joining this site I have written a few (5 to date) new poems - one of which suprised me as my natural venom started to spew and it felt great!! (Maybe it's still in there underneath it all... lol) and I look forward to delving deep and finding some new inspiration, so keep checking and please show your support by adding me to your favorites! Thanks...
*THINGS I LIKE...*

.. my actual music library is ecclectic so this list could get confusing should I continue, therefore I shall pause here...
People - sometimes
Almost anything that makes me smile - was that vague enough for you?
I like peace and harmony and I truly enjoy when Karma finds it's way home - although that trip seems to be taking a while.
*THINGS I DISLIKE...*

spamwitch on July 19, 2006Just so you know, my absence is not due to my dad this time,, it is my own issue. Do not worry about me, it is an easy fix, just time consuming. Headaches,, they seem to be a part of life, though mine are debilitating.. and it turns out, though I had surgery previously for this, I need to do it again. As wierd as it sounds, I have a fungus that grew in my sinus cavity, they removed it before, but it grew back. I will have surgery again on the 27th of July to try to eliminate this issue. Thank you for asking where I was, and sorry to not have responded, to those who have wondered....Hope to be okay very soon and to be in touch with all of you again very soon..... Shawn

Scotlass on February 15, 2006Okay, I made my first attempt at Haiku for a rather gory contest that I felt impelled to enter - this may be removed from the site after the contest is closed, but I ma going to try my hand at a little Haiku - I think I have too much to say to fit it into three lines of limited syllables... Thanks again for your continued support.
