Spiritual Ritual
The dust stirs within my heart,
I am a book with dog-eared pages.
I am only good when I am drugged
and even God can't save me.
I don't know where to go from here,
stuck in the teenage waste.
All my life is sewage sweet,
and all the world's a stage.
I'm tired and my spirit arthritic,
I can see no future or release,
but if you want something else
could you be gentle please?
I'm so sad, I'm so lost
I can't find my way from this place.
So many have gone before me,
could it be that I'm not as brave?
My family's gone, my heart is torn
God is a figment in my head...
I exist solely alone
and all my friends are dead.
