I mostly write songs. I've been writing since i was little and it's always been an escape, happy place, adventure... to me, words are colors, and in an array of patterns and codes, a beautiful painting can be made with them.
i'm in love with life and mystery and the universe. i'm addicted to learning about the religions of the world. my library consists of multiple versions of the Bible and Christian psalms, the Q'uran and sufi writings (Bawa Muhayaddeen was AWESOME!), tao te ching, hsun tzu, tons of baha'i texts, the mahabharata, the upanishads, the vedas, the dhammapada, anything i can get my hands on by the Dalai lama (whom i believe i could never meet in person for i would collapse in awe and relinquish my soul to heaven), zoroastrian writings, judaic writings, sikh, native america, shaman, shinto... you name it and i've got it somewhere! there is truth in all of God's words. ALL. and considering how many words there are, it is proof that any human being will never attain absolute Truth. but it sure is fun trying! HAH!
music is the way of the spirit and heart. dreaming is the way to the truth i can't reach in my human. dancing is my expression for that which cannot be expressed. smiling is my communication through the foreign lands of mystery. i get lost in the depths of my own head before i get lost in Pennsylvania... and i get lost pretty frequently beyond the bounds of my body. i am forever lost. i am forever unknowing. i am forever relinquishing my desires and forever accepting mystery as truth. I cannot struggle in the ocean of God. no matter how scared i am of the endless sky, the endless seascape and the endless depths of which i cannot see a bottom. i must trust His current; let Her carry me to the shores, to the places i cannot see from my tiny heights and the places i cannot fathom with this tiny human brain.

Justin3 on July 3, 2006Thank you for your comments on my poem I'm glad you could relate to it.I wasn't excactly talking about a fiance since I am 17 years old
but the message is similar because I was talking about someone I care about very much who I don't see nearly enough but when I do everything seems so much better. And well done with your poems/songs,I would also like to put my poems to music but I don't have the means either. -
