Hello!

Welcome to my little reading nook. I'm pleased you've stopped by. Pull up a chair and relax while gazing at the stars. I hope you'll find something to touch your heart and perhaps even brighten your day. And since you've stopped by, say hey!

I promise I'll return the favor.

a little bit about me:

I'm an American living in Europe. My background is in the performing arts, music and theater. Besides my love of the written word, I'm also an aspiring artist. I enjoy all mediums, trying my hand at something new whenever possible. I'm married to a great Dutch guy, have a stepson and stepdaughter, and a toy poodle - Ms Sophia. Sometimes she helps me write a word or two

A few snippits of thought-

When life brings lemons to the party, take out the blender

for pete's sake, and make lemonade! Sandi Alford

Prick the soul and it shall bleed, show it love

and it will love in return. Sandi Alford

Dare to dream, and make life a multi-colored fantasy! Sandi Alford

Life is too short!
Break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly,
laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that

made you smile. Life may not be the party we hoped for,
but while we're here, we should dance!

will be adding more...

                              The New Year

An empty canvas waits
to feel the brush strokes
of experiences drip
and pool upon its linen

in an arrangement of dreams,
new thoughts and outlooks-

heart’s ambrosial tears
multi-coloured and textured
with the beauty of life,
shall we paint it together?
