My name is Rudolf Braun (Rudy). I am a 52 year old man living in Abbotsford British Columbia Canada. I have two grown children and am married to a woman who is also a poet. I am an currently employed as an independent contractor who is building a trail through our city. It's a four year project that will span 20 miles, it will all be paved and is accessable for every ones enjoyment. I am a Architectual and Structural Draftsman. I enjoy drawing, writing, photography, hot cars and cooking. I belong to our local poetry group and am a director of a Credit Union. Poetry is a powerful stepping stone which is responsible for the capture of my current wife Ruth-Ann.( R U interested ) check it out... Poetry has given me self confidence to express my deepest thoughts with few words but have the impact of a runaway freight train. When I was in elementary school I was told I couldn't write, when I handed in an assignment I was told I didn't write it and often got zero credit for my efforts, this set me back a year or two. I have a passion for trains having spent 14 years employed working for my dad's railway company, a business he founded and grew into a national railway contractor currently the largest in Canada (PNR). My three brothers and myself became part of the organization around 1980 and I left in 1994 in an attempt to save my marriage. ( It failed ) I had a passion for ripping them up and was responsible for much of the removal of the historic Kettle valley railway. I spent about four years of my life dismantling this track that went through some of the most scenic landscape in British Columbia.I like to think of myself as a builder but I have to admit I'm a pretty good wrecker too. In the past I've worked at times as a pipelayer, grademan, roadbuilder, estimater and machine operater. I love to run equipment and never pass on the opportunity to run something new, I started on tracters ,trucks and front end loaders , dozers excavaters bobcats came later. I've looked after a railway gravel pit for years loading rail cars(Bigger is better) and still do spend a little time there but its essentialy mined out, leaving only by products that I load and sell. I'm mostly rational, a little bit nuts, a prefectionist always, and sometimes a........Hopefully I didn't bore you and you'll read some of my stuff.
