My favourite poet is Coleridge and I also like Shakespeare, Blake and Horace. I am a great fan of the Romantic poets, also Emily Bronte.
Ingot is my AP daughter.

Poems I'm focused on
-
The ruins stand as lonely as the sky,
perched high above the stormy, foaming waves
-
A path that wanders through the woodland shade,
Where banks of bluebells sing a sleepy tune, -
The blackbird sings of summer from the oak
A ladybird cavorts upon the rose -
They took her to the doleful traitor’s gate,
Where none could save her life or bring release,14 lines, 27 comments, January 26, 2007. In Sonnet -
The rose of dawn blushed softly in the air,
A silent world transfused with ageless light,
My Poetry
-
Where rainbows climb the skies on fervent wings,
the eye of heaven high above the seas,
-
When darkness serenades the ebon night,
she swoons and pales, his kiss upon her lips,
15 lines, 14 comments, August 17. In Sonnet, english sonnet

brad-the-bard on May 22, 2008Your sonnets remind me of where I want to be with my poetry-writing in 10 years time! I must confess I'm not much into the Shakespearian form. I've fell in love with the The Petrarchan Sonnet and and so far it's been a wonderful relationship. But I must say I enjoy reading the penmanship of someone that has completely mastered the art of this classic form of poetry. Thanks for publishing your work on AP.

Iliad Keys : Hail and well met! on January 27, 2008I am Sir Iliad, pleasure to make your acquaintance. I have been a member of AP for around a year. In that time I have enjoyed reading several different poets. The problem with a site this size is finding poets that I can wholeheartedly enjoy seems tough. So my good friend Frodofan suggested I visit your page, and I am glad that I have! You appear to be a gifted poeteer, and I plan on further enjoying what you've written. Godspeed, Iliad Keys.
