I try to cover as much of life as possible with my poetry, this has to be in rhyme. I can enjoy "blank verse" (non rhyming)but not write it. I have always had an aversion to sad endings. For example, in my pre- or early teens, a record came out "The Ballard of Running Bear," in which the starring couple plunged to their death in a raging river. I, for my own peace of mind, even then created an alternative end. My taste is very child like in spite my 58 years, as my choice in litriture and my outlook no doubt show, but I am a very happy contented individual. With nearly 36 years of marriage passed in pure bliss, I count myself as a very lucky man. We have two daughters, one has given us two wonderful grandchildren, the other was good enough to write a passage on our views of how to succeed in marriage, in a local news magazine. Made us very proud, of her and her view of us..

Miss Miranda on October 31, 2006Thank you so much for your comments on all of my poetry and telling me that you are adding me to your favorites. Considering that I am not very confident in my poetry I appreciate your touching words. I'm not at all afraid to converse with you. :] After all age is but a number, and whose to say we cannot become friends? I must also congratulate you on your happy marriage. Many people dont stay together and you've certainly accomplished something by 36 years.
Take Care,
Miranda. :] -
forever dreaming on August 28, 2006Well done on the HM in our contest. It was a great entry which both Sarah and myself felt deserved a mention. Well done and stay in touch. Claire

Rockalongarhyme on July 29, 2006Thanks for your blessing (so to speak). Your poem about the Old Dragon makes me think you also have mystic powers. Giving you knowledge of everything, or was this coinsidence, or did you look at my AP name. I'm hoping it isn't explainable.
As you have probably guessed, and you also believe,I refuse to accept that King Arthur is dead. In fact I started writing a story,in which Arthur and the Round Table, with Merlin's guidence, exist in the real world, and we are in the damned one. Alas, I ran out of steam and direction very quickly. Perhaps one day uhh. That is a triffic little poem though.
Thanks again, jono -
Gwenevere on July 27, 2006Long live good old Dragon
For him I long to see
I know he loves King Arthur
And longs to set him free
