Poetry, what can I say the art of selling yourself in a market of self orientated minds. It's about reading and re-reading. If you like reading and writing then you will make a good poet. The world is full of poets, just like me however I am unique. Like you I am unique and what motivates me to write is people like me who have that certain panache about knowing. Know ing in the sense that poetry is important to the reader as it is to the writers audience and it's this audience that see's all. My name is Robert and I've been on all poetry for years now, I like it as much as what I did when I first joined. If you've just joined stick with it and start cultivating relations with like minded (or not) poets or musicians. Join a group, make a page, write a poem, build a collection of friends, feed your chip body. Publish your poem in an anthology or book or even get a poetry book published like me. Look I don't care if you leave a comment on my poems, I don't always leave a comment on your poems. But what I do do is read and write poetry. I'm a poet, I know it's not a big deal, but what strikes me about poets is there compassion and sensitivity to just what's really going on in the environment we live in today. In conclusion I'm a friend nothing else. But like a strange but good man once or twice said to me: Friends are like ships in the night. Be lucky and may the light of what ever you believe in nourish you and replenish that thirst of yours.
