I, like many before me, have just finished peeling off several masks. I'm still working on it. I don't find my identity in what others say I am or in what my earthly mind tries to persuade me, but in what God says of me. With that truth comes my identity, a child of God, a follower of one Jesus Christ, who died a sick and humble death on a cross to make atonement for me, so that I no longer feel shame in the sins I have indulged in . My goal with my poetry, is for others to find that very same core in their identity, that they might find freedom and purpose in being created by an all-powerful and all-loving God.
