My name is Amanda... my middle name is Joy and sometimes that's ironic...
It's been a while... life took turns until I ended up where I was in the beginning; in need of an artistic outlet.
I'm keeping my old poems up because I don't want to forget how I started out... but I also want readers to realize that I've grown and changed and therefor so has my writing style.
Remember, just because we've changed doesn't mean we can't look to the past every once in a while...
As always, comments are appreciated.
Also, thank you for being a part of my inner workings since December of 2004.

jam master jay on March 9, 2005Hey, how are you doing, Thank you for being honest with me, I'm not mad, just suprised. It's hard to find someone who will be honest with you. Selah is a word used in Psalms that means, to stop, and think about it. The poem is about people who, go through hard times, just like everyone does and thinks that they have it worse, that no one understands their pain and they blame
God for it. I'm not talking about everyone. I'm sorry if you got the poem the wrong way and sorry if it offended you, I wanted it
to be a realization peom of the truth, I just put it harsh words. I do read my bible, and one of my favorite verses is 2 Timothy 2:15 " Study to shew thyself a workman of God, that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" then
2: 16 says " but shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness." Now I'm trying to be honest with you, did you think you were going to make me happy with that comment you left me. There are different approaches to settling disputes, but trying to argue and critisize only increases to more ungodliness. Trust me I know exactly what you were saying and I understand - I don't look down on people. I said we do not know pain compared to Christ, because if anything
we deserve what happens to us, Christ on the other hand led a perfect, sinless life but still suffered. I'm not saying good people do not suffer, they do, but we should go about our suffering in a Godly way because our pain and persecution is for a reason and God understands all our pain, thats whay he is merciful. Look at Romans 8:28. Another thing poetry, has no limits, so it doesn't matter if it's not grammatically correct. Anyway, thanks for the comment, it's good to hear other peoples opinions, and again don't think I'm mad at you, I'm not and I don't want you mad at me. Please, take what I said into understanding of what I meant by the poem.
with love in Christ,
