To some she may be just a dog
To me she was my guard
Many times she brought me back
when  for life I'd no regard

Her breath was first I felt each day
Her smile none can replace
I see her every step I take
I miss her loving face

God gave her to me as a treasure
For me to love and to behold
He knew none other could meet the measure
I thought 'til
 she grew old

Gone she is now taken home
My love is with her still
Gone she is... I weep my tears
My heart she did fulfill

Always a part of my soul

Rest in Peace Chilli... Mwah

This is Her resting box after her cremation
The Teddy is Sir Luvalot given to me by my son Steve
and it now wears Chilli's collar.

'Rainbow Bridge'
You gave love to me like no one else
Asked for little in return,
Just a pat, a feed, a place to sleep
A yard to run and turn

But the time has come to travel
To where dog spirits go
Far across the rainbow Bridge
Where humans must not show.

What you gave was unrestricted
uninhibited and  free
You responded ever willingly
to my needs that you could see

May you receive a  welcome
As you walk up that last ridge
May your spirit live forever
Across the rainbow bridge

From Yours Truly Julie

Chilli Girl

(acrostic)

Came to me a flea bitten pup
Home I took you and cleaned you up
In happy times and often grave
Life of mine you often did save
Loyal companion for ten years
In times of sadness...licked my tears

Gave me unconditional love
I miss you so...feelings void of
Reasoning WHY?...beyond me now
Letting you go...I don't know how

Thanks Babe

[Aunty Julie]

so sorry about the dog. Pets are almost like people and we do feel a lot of pain when they leave us.

    Beautiful pictures.

She was the best friend in so many ways that only we know. I'll always remember the way she would roll over for the belly rub even when she knew it wasn't allowed and the way I would always slip one in before I said "No Chilli"
