No quotes are mine.

I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I am not.

If you have nothing to fight for then you are not truly alive

If we could read the secret history of our enemies, we should find in each man's life sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility.

Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools talk because they have to say something

When life gives you lemons, make grape juice. Then sit back and let the world wonder how you did it.

True strength is being able to hold it all together when everything else is falling apart.

Why do we kill people who are killing people to show that killing people is wrong?

Borders are scratched across the hearts of men
By strangers with a calm, judicial pen,
And when the borders bleed
we watch with dread
The lines of ink across the map turn red.

This is a poem I found, don't remember where.

"Battered, shaken, godforsaken,
All of your abuse we’ve taken.
On our own; we’re left alone,
Against the heartlessness you’ve shown.
We stand in rain amidst our pain,
Each step an agonizing strain.
But through the years we face our fears,
And blink away our unshed tears.
If you all knew what we’ve been through,
You would understand it, too.
We can’t succumb; we must be numb,
And ignore the beast we’re running from.
We set our sight upon the light,
Shining through our endless night.
Our one ambition; our one mission,
To see that glorious transition.
To finally be fully free,
To end our blindness and to see,
That battlefield where we shall wield
Our gold-emblazoned sword and shield.
We shall be that triumphant three,
To show you what it is to see.
Our home, our land, you’ll understand,
That we have lent a helping hand.
We love you all; we shall stand tall,
And if you need it we shall fall.
Upon the field where we shall wield
Our gold-emblazoned sword and shield.
We’ll risk it all; just send the call,
And in the end we shall stand tall,
We three who’ve known a heart of stone.
No longer are we left alone.
We three have sown a bond of stone.
No longer are we left alone."
"No Longer Alone"

Those who walk only in darkness are blinded by the veil of power. They are chained by their own ambition and greed. Those who walk only in the light are blinded by the glare of justice. They are chained by their own need to uphold their ideals and the ideals of their people without exception. Although both can become smart neither can really see the world and both are restrained. Only those who can walk in both worlds, those who do not refuse to step over the line when needed can claim to be truly wise.
